So I wanted to like this one but it just fell flat. Cora is great at mafia romance, she is one of the best, but this was not it. The main character continued to piss me off throughout the whole book. If this person is telling the same thing over and over again, girl, listen. But no it was all it took to prevent me from DNFing this book. The plot was predictable, which isn't terrible but the twists were too much. It felt like Cora was trying to cram every mobster theme in one book. The saving grace was the spice and the brothers which I hope are the next books. They seem very interesting and might just save this series. 2.5/3 stars.
