I love the enemies to lovers trope. Ryker and Penelope were the generic football star and nerd who are opposites but end up having amazing chemistry. Ryker and Penelope have history from the last book in the series, I dare you, but you do not have to read the first book to understand this story.

Ryker has some anger that has carried over from his Scandal of last season and Penelope has something to do with it. Penelope is a writer who doesn't think she is in the same league as Ryker, not that she would want to be, he's a dumb jock right? Each character is charming in their own way.

This was an enjoyable story. Nothing extraordinary but a good solid sports romance
