Isn't that cover beautiful? I read the blurb for this book and was immediately intrigued.
Blurb:
"I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.
Back in Britain my family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me--if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.
Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted -- so I need a wife.
To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.
The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over . . .
The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name . . .
The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge . . .
It all helps me forget.
I just didn’t bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.
She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.
A sexy, standalone romance."
This was a very sexy yet formulaic book. I felt I had read the story before. That being said, sometimes you are just in the mood for a good old marriage of convenienceto-love story.

"I'm not going to lie, that cover is gorgeous. I read the blurb for this book and was immediately intrigued. I have soft spot for bad boy princes, plus this was set in modern times, sign me up!
The story revolves around Ryder, a playboy businessman who has left England and away from his aristocratic roots. Due to unforeseen circumstances he has to marry in order to keep is company from going to his crooked cousin. That is where Scarlett comes in. Her company will go under unless she gets help with her loan, so low and behold, Ryder + Scarlett=solution. As you can imagine this story continues on about their growing feelings together and the craziness that ensues with being married to the future Duke of Fairfax.
This was a very cliche story about a marriage of inconvenience that leads to more. There were definitely highs and lows in the story mixed in with some very steamy scenes that kept you pushing through the story however. I appreciated that Scarlett was a business women and not a destitute heroine, she had something going for her and was not relying on Ryder to come in and solve all her problems. I also appreciated how much of an alpha male Ryder was. :)
Recommendation: This is a good formulaic read for someone who likes: prince, arranged marriage, HEA, alpha men. If you don't want a story arc that has been done a million times before, proceed with caution.

About the Author: "USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels - the kind she likes to read. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters. Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films. Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn't have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
